One of those things...

Today just one of those things...happened! As soon as we got in the car this morning Tyler said, "I didn't have any breakfast!" I told him to run back into the house and get some donuts, which we keep in the fridge; otherwise those ants will find them. So in he goes and then back out into the car with the donuts in tow, 2 for him and 2 for his brother.

Then we got home and that is when we discovered one of those thing happened. This morning I got out chicken breast to thaw from the freezer. They just happened to be sitting in the fridge sideways so that when the door shut you had to give it a little extra push. Well Tyler didn't give it that little extra push it needed. All day long my fridge has been open just a little bit. Well that little bit is going to cost me some extra money. As I had to throw out eggs, milk, cottage cheese, sour cream, pudding, butter...

I am not mad at him, just sad to see all that food go into the trash that I just bought 2 days ago. Off to the grocery store I will go tonight to replace those products.

Tyler and I had a chat about how to always check to see if the door on the fridge is shut tight. It could happen to any of us. So lesson learned and hopefully always remembered to check the fridge door to make sure it is tight!

iPod

My iPod is fixed!!! I don't know what was wrong with it, but it is now working correctly and my games are there like they are supposed to be!

2 weekends ago we went to the Daytona area and I always take my iPod on long trips, that way I can listen to my music or podcasts as the boys are watching movies. Reed won't wear the headphones yet and I cannot stand to listen to a movie that I cannot see unless of course I am the driver then it is a different story. Anyway I was catching up on my podcasts and when I was done I decided to shuffle the songs. Only problem was it would play the first song and not any more after that. So very frustrating! I thought OK then I will play my games, nope can't do that either games were gone!

Once back home I plugged in my iPod to the computer and it didn't fix itself. Not only did it not fix itself it listed the games as no games and not even one song would play. UGH!

I have been wracking my brain to figure out what the problem was and there was one thing I could think of. A friend of mine gave me a CD with a mix of songs on it and I put the songs from the CD into my iTunes. Maybe it didn't like that??? So today I deleted all those songs from my iTunes and synched my iPod and some magic happened. My games were there and my songs shuffled correctly! YEA!!!

Hopefully that was the problem and it was a simple fix and I will not do that again! If it happens again I guess we will go off to the Apple store.

10 things that start with...

My friend Sherry posted a writing-prompt, a few weeks ago. She saw my blog mojo post and assigned me a letter: F. The rules of the game are simple. Once assigned a letter you are to post 10 things that you love which begin with that letter. So here goes...F. A tough letter if you ask me.
(If you want to play, leave me a message saying you want to play in my comment area. I’ll assign a random letter and on and on it goes.)

In no particular order:
1. Friends...I couldn't survive without my friends. They are there when I need them whether it be to laugh or to cry. Some friends I have will last a lifetime and others come and go in my world but I still consider them friends. Some even live a thousand miles away but I still feel very connected to them.
2. Feelings...I am a very emotional person and wear them on my sleeve everyone can always tell how I am feeling regardless if I am trying to hide it. Feelings are who I am.
3. Fireworks...I love 4th of July not only for what the day means to our country but also that the sky lights up with beautiful vibrant colors. It seems like there is always a reason for fireworks where I live. We went and saw the World of Oulaws race a couple of Saturdays ago and before racing there were fireworks, not only did I enjoy them but so did my boys. Fireworks just brings out the kid in me.
4. Family...the most important people in my life. It is who made me who I am.
5. Florida...Where I live. I never really thought of Florida as a place I love but it has become a place I love. It is where my married life started and where my children were born. I don't think we will always live in Florida but it will be a hard place for me to leave as many memories have happened here. Who doesn't live living in a place where you can go to the beach anytime of year? :0)
6. Fire...Since a little girl I have had a fascination with fire. My dad was a volunteer fire fighter and maybe that is where my fascination started although I never had a desire to be a fire fighter. Growing up we had a wood stove that heated our house and the warmth from that brought heat to our home. Then we moved when I was 11 and we had a fireplace, oh how wonderful that was on the rarenss that we would light it. I would love to watch the fire flicker. I grew up camping with my parents and would love when we had a campfire to roast marshmallows. I remember lighting candles when I was a teenager in my parent's basement just to watch the flame. Fire is so dangerous yet so benefical.
7. Fun...enough said who doesn't love to have fun whatever it may be that brings fun to you.
8. Food...It is because of food the way that I am. Although I am working on taking care of that problem as of yesterday and am giving it 100%!
9. Finish...I really enjoy a sense of accomplishing something and being finished with it.
10. Flying...This helps me to get where I want or need to go quickly. I can take an 18 hour drive to get back home to my parents house or I can get on a plane and be there in 2 1/2 hours. Flying also leads to adventure and gets me places that I may have never gone or will go to.

Love Post #1 - Love this child

This is my oldest son, Tyler. He is so full of spunk and has quite the personality. Last night I was playing around with my camera and trying to get a picture of him. He was trying to be sneaky and hide from me. Well, the trick turned out to be on him. I started taking pictures of our dog and then I pointed the camera at him and got this adorable picture. He was bummed that he had been tricked but to me it shows what a fun little boy he is. His right arm is extended down pointing at the dog I am supposed to be taking a picture of.

Mojo

I have lost my blog mojo as well as my project 365 mojo. I really am bummed that I didn't get a project 365 kit, but if they do become available again I will start the project over at day 1 no matter what the date is. There have been digital kits for the project offered, but it is not what I had my heart set on.

As far as my blog mojo I need to get it back! I enjoy blogging, but somedays I just struggle with it. Anyone want to throw some blog mojo my way???

Day 7 Project 365

Tonight marks the 3 night this week that Eric has spent in the garage working on his mini sprint or one of Tyler's go-karts. Winter Nationals are getting closer and he is spending his evenings out in the garage getting the race cars ready. This is something that he truly enjoys doing. Got to love a hobby you love!
