Clean House
One thing that makes me happy is a clean house. It is tough to keep it clean though living with 3 males. You know the kind that like to leave stuff laying around and laying around and laying around. It is the mama who finally gets fed up and puts it away and cleans up.
So I had Bunco at my house last night and that means the house required a cleaning. I got off work at 1, picked up oldest ds from dh, went to Target picked up the dinner I was making for tonight and came home to begin cleaning which at this point means organizing the clutter first. I worked on that until around 4 and then had to pick up youngest ds from daycare. Get home and continue with the organization and cleaning. DH gets home from work around 5:30 and can't figure out what I have been doing all day. UHHHH...organizing cleaning. But it worked out perfectly because by the time he got home I was ready to scrub down the bathroom, dust, and vacuum. Hate to say it but our Christmas tree was still up so the ornaments came off and got put away and then the tree was dragged into the garage, thankfully it is an artificial tree. Now dh has to make a bag to store it in and take it to work for storage until next year.
The girls arrived at 7 and I was just finishing up dinner and could finally relax and enjoy the evening of fun!
Now to only keep it clean! I have my other Bunco group here next month and I am almost certain I will be repeating my organizing cleaning actions then too, but it sure would be nice if I didn't have to.

How did they get your stomach back on?
So my 6 year old turns to me as he is in the middle of watching Jimmy Neutron and asks...."How did they get your stomach back on?" Huh??? Where did that come from? So I asked what are you talking about and he says when you had Reed. Thankfully I had a c-section and didn't have to fib. I told him the doctors cut my stomach and then stapled it back together. His response, "Ouch! That must have hurt. They should have glued it, that wouldn't have hurt."
Oh my...out of the mouths of babes! :0)

Blog Challenge: summertime
Summertiiiiiiiiiiiime, and the living is EEEeeezzzzzzy.Tell us how you feel about summer. This summer, a childhood summer, summer traditions, random summer memories, summer sights and smells and sounds. Whatever. Wax poetic about summertime!
Summertime is a time that I always look forward to being a school teacher. It means that lazy days are ahead, staying up late, sleeping in, and just doing whatever I feel like doing. That was until of course I had children.
This summer officially began for me June 5th.
We kicked off this summer by remodeling our master bedroom. We have lived in this house for 8 years and have been married for 9 years and have never had a bedroom set that we liked.
When we first got married Eric had a water bed and since we were living on the 3rd floor of an apartment we didn't want to pay the extra insurance for a waterbed. So we took one of the sides off of the waterbed frame and put a king size mattress in. We lived with this bed set up for 3 years and even moved into our current house with this bed.
Once that was done; the painting began. Once the painting was finished everything got moved out of the room and Eric layed the laminate hardwood floor.

When my fil passed away we took his bedroom set which again was another waterbed with some mismatched dressers and nightstand. This time we used the bed as a waterbed and we kept that for about 2 years. Then a co-worker of mine was moving her mom into an assisted living place because her husband had passed away. So she needed to downsize and we decided to purchase her king size bed.
Until this remodel began we have been sleeping on this bed that is who knows how old. I am thankful that this remodel began. We began by taking the baseboards off and ripping out the carpet.
The new furniture was delivered the following week only to our dismay did we find out that the armoire was too large and wouldn't fit. Finally today the armoire had some adjustments made to it and into our room it went.
So summertime is remodeling, cleaning, and reorganizing.
Another thing that summertime means to me is vacations. We took 2 days this past June and went to WDW. It was so much fun to watch the boy's faces light up with the magical moments that happen at Disney. The first day we were there was Reed's second birthday at dinner that night Goofy came over to sing and blow out the candle with him.
Such memories were made during this vacation and I can't wait to scrapbook them.
Summertime also means catching up with friends. During our recent trip to MD I was able to get together one evening with my high school friends. We had dinner at an Irish Pub and then off to one of the small town bars. We had such fun that night and it will be a night to remember. I look forward to getting together with them the next time we get to MD. Good times, Great friends!

Day 7 of vacation
Well I had intended to post something every day of this vacation and it just did not happen. Here I am at day 7 and only 5 more days left to go.
I am missing my husband terribly and can't wait to get back home to him. He was actually here this past weekend from Thurs.-Sun. He has a cold and is extremely tired with no desire to talk to me which makes me very sad. At this point I can say that I don't think I will go away this long again with out him.
Today when I woke up it was cloudy and dreary looking outside as it had rained the night before. I had intentions of taking the boys to Baugher's to pick either strawberries or cherries. All I wanted was a quart and of course I only wanted to do it for the pictures. I am a scrapbooker at heart. But instead I hung out for a few hours at my parent's house with my boys, showered, called my grandmother, and went and picked her up for lunch. I had intentions of taking her to lunch but she insisted on buying us lunch because she doesn't see us very often and she has no intentions on getting on a plane and coming to visit. My grandmother is 80 years old and is scared to fly. This also makes me sad because I think she would enjoy coming to my house and seeing where I live.
Lunch was great. We went to a place that I used to go with my maternal grandparents and I remember ordering a "Chocolate, Monkey, Poop" as my grandfather would call it. It was called a CMP sundae, which stood for Chocolate, Marshmallow, and Peanut Butter. My grandfather passed away when I was 5 years old but this is one of the fond memories that I have of him. So it was just a nice place to be. The last time I was there was with my husband. We had gotten married and 2 days later we were getting ready to drive to FL where we would be living. This was the last place we ate for breakfast before heading south.
After lunch I needed to find a rechargable battery for my digital camera. So off to the mall to go to Ritz Camera. They did not have the battery I needed and sent us to Battery Warehouse. They had he battery that I needed but with it being a rechargable battery and I am on vacation I don't have a way to recharge it, so I had to purchase disposalbe batteries. I ended up purchasing litichum (sp?) batteries to get me through the rest of this week. Regular batteries only last me about 2 days in the camera and these batteries are supposed to be 7X longer. I hope so because I spent too much money on batteries today.
Next we were off to take my grandmother back home. As we were dropping her off she handed me money to give to the boys to spend on what ever they wanted while we are in Gettysburg the next few days. That was so sweet of her.
Once we got back to my parent's house we had about an hour to kill and of course neither of the boys were interested in naps so they just hung out, had a snack and watched TV.
Jo Ann called and we met her and Levi at Greenmount Bowl to bowl a game of duckpins. Reed is very impatient about waiting for his turn. But the boys had fun with their new experience of duck pins, something we don't have in FL.
We went to dinner at J and P's with mom as dad had stuff to do at the firehouse.
After dinner I took Tyler for ice cream where we met up with Shelley and Emily. I had a great time chatting with Shelley while Tyler played with the kids that were there.
