Camera Strap

Last Saturday I received my Mother's Day gift. I was so excited when it came and had been tracking it all week to figure out when it would reach my home.

It is the camera strap cover from *Shey* [B] . I had been stalking her etsy shop and blog for about 2 months. I kept wanting to buy one so as Mother's Day was approaching I told Eric that I knew exactly what he could get me for Mother's Day. I told him that I would even let him choose what design, but I wanted the lens cap holder added to it. They are all great so it didn't matter to me, plus I couldn't just pick one. So my oldest son picked out the Disco Dot with Tourquoise.

As I was reading Shey's blog today I was directed to Joy's Hope where she is having a giveaway for one of Shey's camera strap covers. I of course would love to have another one to change out, but if you would like to have one hurry over to Joy's Hope and enter.

Manic Monday #171

If you joined the circus, what act would you most want to perform?
I would love to be the elephant rider, who knows what she is really called, but that is what I call her.

Would you generally be overdressed or underdressed at a party?
I would be underdressed I am a pretty causal kind of girl.
Do you feel that children should be sheltered from unhappiness?
No, then how would they become an all around well rounded individual? With unhappiness also comes happiness. Gotta experience both.

Manic Monday #169

Imagine you're packing a picnic lunch. What would be in your basket?

  • a loaf of french bread
  • cheese
  • strawberries, grapes, and pineapple
  • red wine
  • blanket
  • cups
  • plates
  • knife to cut bread and cheese

If your life were a weather vane, which direction would it be pointing right now?

North, I am ready to go back to my hometown and spend a few weeks!

What's something that people do in traffic that really annoys you?

Hello!!! Please use a turn signal and don't just slam on your brakes and turn.

banana tree

So tonight I was sitting out back on the swing relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet since the kids and hubby were inside. I looked over at our banana tree which actually started as the neighbor's banana tree but it decided to regrow on our side of the fence. Anyway I thought to myself that tree doesn't look like it is doing very well which made me sad as we have gotten bananas from it like 3 times. Then I observed a little closer and noticed there were bananas growing. I was super excited that I ran in and grabbed the camera just so I could blog about it. (I know pathetic...but hey that is who I am.) We leave on vacation in about 3 weeks oh I hope they are ready to eat before we leave. I will be watching them daily now.

sleeping boys

So we are getting one step closer to the boys sharing a room. Eric painted the chair railing in the soon to be play room and the furniture in there is pretty much sitting in the middle of the room. I decided tonight would be a good trial run of seeing how sleeping in the same room goes. It went fairly well, they went to bed and then watched about 1/2 hour of TV and fell asleep almost instantly when the TV was turned off.

It will be interesting to see how well they fall asleep once Reed has had a nap and just isn't tired.

Tonight was easy so I can't complain. Tomorrow we will get one step closer on getting the play room completed.

Manic Monday #168

If you could completely redecorate any room in your house at no expense to you, what room would you choose?
Above is a picture of our room that we are currently working on redecorating. Money is an object so this isn't the room that I would redecorate if it wasn't. The first room that came to mind that I would love to redecorate at no expense to me would be my master bathroom, it is so blah and just a typical bathroom right now. It is small and I would love a huge bathroom with a gigantic tub, double sinks, huge shower that would have water spraying from every direction. Of course I would love a maid to come along with it to keep it tidy.
Which hour of the day do you feel goes the slowest?
Some days it is the 8 p.m. hour when I put my kids to bed, I look forward to some peace and quiet and adult time. It is 9:17 and the youngest is still awake...uhhh...we are past the 8 p.m. hour and are now into the second hour tonight. Gee wonder what prompted me to pick this hour right this minute. :)
If your birthday could be in a different month of the year, when would you have it?
I really enjoy having my birthday in the month of July. It has always been a non school time and it is usually a beautiful summer day. If I had to choose a different month I would say that anytime between September or May would be great that way it would make my second graders happy and they could celebrate their teacher's birthday! Thank goodness for half birthdays!

feelin' like a kid again...

Yesterday was my friend's daughter's birthday party at a gymnastics place. Oh my gosh what fun I had jumping on the trampoline! The feeling of freedom was amazning. I wasn't going to get on there for fear that the springs would pop, but boy oh boy after the first attempt it wasn't the last time I jumped on there! :<) Such fun.

Here is my little man in the foam pit. Yep I went in there too! Hopefully that picture will be coming soon, my friend's husband took one with his camera. My little one here turns 4 next month and I am going to call and see if they have any available dates close to his birthday for a party. My fingers are crossed! (I wanna jump again!)
