You Capture: Your Best Shot

I have decided to join in on the You Capture challenge posted over at I Should be Folding Laundry.

This week's challenge was to post your best shot.

This photo of my youngest was taken on Sunday afternoon. We had just finished swimming in the pool and he wanted a snack. I told him it had to be healthy. He selected the bag of cherries.

photo walk

So over at Write, Click, Scrapbook they have been talking about photo projects and just getting out there and taking pictures regardless of the subject. Basically what I get out of it is if you don't get out there and try you will never learn. So tonight I went on a walk with my boys. First column are the pictures I took, middle column taken by son age 8, and last column taken by son age 4. Flower and house number selected by son age 4. Ducks and reflector selected by son age 8. Fire hydragant was my choice. About halfway through our walk one of my youngest son's friends decided to join us so we kind of got side tracked. This was fun and the kids do enjoy being able to use the big camera.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day 2009 was spent at the beach. {smiles}

That is how we are going to spend Mother's Day 2010...as long as the weather agrees.

Although I have heard from my oldest child that I am not supposed to get out of bed until midnight. Haha!
I think I am actually supposed to stay in bed until breakfast makes it in there. {smiles}

The family is ending their day at my nephew's apartment for dinner. {smiles}

Weekend Wrap-Up

Saturday morning started off with both boys having soccer games.

Intense Tyler...who never got taken out of the game at all.

Reed sitting on the sidelines waiting for his turn. Eric looking oh so into it. :)

Reed taking a kick at the ball.

As soon as soccer was over we headed to the race track.
Walked away with a 2nd place finish.

Sunday night the boys played catch in the backyard.

ramblings

I have a lot on my mind.

We had a great day today as a family.

Both boys had soccer games today and both teams won.

Tyler had a race today and did well, finished 2nd.

His great aunt and uncle came and brought their grandchildren.

All the kids played well together.

We really should get together more with Eric's cousin's family so the kids can play.

Reed drove the flat cart on the race track after all the races were over.

It was super exciting for me to watch him, but he was so nervous.

My family is all in bed sleeping at this moment and I am enjoying the peace and quiet and just the clicking of the keys.

I have caught up on my google reader list.

I am caught up with friends on FB.

I really should get off this computer and maybe catch up on some DVRed shows.

I have been praying a lot for one of my co-workers.

I hope she is doing better after her surgery on Thursday and that it wasn't cancer like they told her they were 99% certain before surgery.

Another co-worker and I are taking her dinner tomorrow and I hope it gives me peace of mind.

I am not liking all the pain killers I have heard she is taking.

Need to get papers graded tomorrow, house cleaned, and laundry done.

I am writing it here that I am going for a walk in the morning. By writing it I hope I will actually do it!

Goodnight world...hope to catch back up with you more often.
